Asian Art Returning To Glasgow | Entries Are Invited

In July’s auction, a 19th century Chinese ceramic plaque inset to a table was one to watch and it certainly didn’t disappoint! Strong national and international competition saw the hammer fall at £29,000. Blue and white Chinese ceramics, too, continued to outperform pre-auction estimates, with one particularly beautifully painted example storming away at £4,000. An unusual Anglo-Indian table proved popular, achieving £2,800, while Japanese and Chinese ceramics, ivories, bronzes and textiles enjoyed highlight after highlight. Browse these and more results below.
