The Animal Kingdom

With the recent success of the impressive Victorian turquoise necklet achieving a hammer price of £10,500 in the 10 June Jewellery Auction, another collection of serpent and animal jewellery is set to feature in the upcoming Summer Jewels auction.

There are two serpent rings which feature, both of very different styles. Lot 417 is a vintage example depicting a snake coiled around the finger and set with a rose cut diamond to the head. On the opposite end of the ‘scale’ is lot 421, a modern contemporary Serpenti Viper ring by Italian maison Bulgari. The abstract design puts a futuristic twist on this classic piece.

From the other side of the animal kingdom, we have lot 418, a gem set panther brooch. The reclining panther is set with sapphires to the body, ruby eyes and accessorised with none other than a diamond collar.

These lots sit amongst a variety of beautiful rings, necklaces and more so if the animals don’t appeal to you then perhaps something else will!
