The Watch Collector

The Watches Auction boasts a number of impressive timepieces, each suited to a different occasion.

Whilst many timepieces serve a practical purpose such as lots 833 and 836. These military watches, each by CWC, were manufactured in the 1970’s for use by military personnel. Recognisable by their matte black dials with luminous hour markers and stainless steel cases, each features a broad arrow to the dial and caseback.

Perhaps an event such as a cocktail party requires a smart dress watch such as lot 807, an Art Deco Rolex watch. The caseback dated 1936 leads us to believe that this graced the wrist of a classy gentleman at the height of the glamorous era. Perhaps accompanied by a beautiful woman wearing a diamond set cocktail watch, such as lot 812, by Cortebert.

Perhaps the modern day equivalent of a cocktail watch would be lot 819, a chic Chanel watch with mother of pearl face and diamond set bezel. The curb link bracelet gives this petite watch a classy yet modern feel.

With gentleman’s dress watches such as lot 834 and lot 858, a gentleman’s Heuer wrist watch and a Cartier Pasha, these provide versatility to wear either to a business meeting or to the beach club!

Whatever your style, the Watch Collection auction has plenty to offer!
