Water of the Sea | October 2021

Aquamarine is known as the gemstone of the ocean and its name even translates to ‘Water of the Sea’. Due to this, it is commonly worn by sailors to calm the waves and ensure them a safe return on each of their voyages. Another much loved theory is that mermaid’s tails were made from aquamarine however this is still yet to be proven.

Formed inside of granite rocks, this beautiful blue stone is favoured for its light blue colour, reminiscent of the sea itself and is often paired with diamonds creating an overall calming pastel, look. Aquamarine is perfect for someone who wants to add a bit of colour to their collection without it being too dark or striking.

Aquamarine lots include lot 342 and 451. These rings are the perfect way to introduce some colour into your jewellery collection before investing in more saturated stones.
