One of the highlights of the Novmeber 8 Rare and Fine whisky auction is undoubtedly lot. 60, the Glenlivet 1940 Generations 70 years old estimated to sell for £15,000-£20-000. Bottled by Gordon & MacPhail, it is the first release of the Generations series, celebrating 4 generations of the Urquart family’s stewardship of Gordon and MacPhail.
Other notable lots include the Laphroaig 30 years old (£800-£1200), Caol Ila Manager’s Dram 15 years old (£3,000-£4,000), and the Laphroaig 1978 SMWS 29.7 (£1,000-£2,000).
