With two Yamaha pianos selling for a combined total in excess of £1,000, and an array of brass instruments being snapped up for more than a song, this month’s auction saw stiff competition from musically-minded bidders from around the globe.
Alongside this, clocks spanning the centuries sold for strong sums too, with an 18th century tavern clock being knocked down at £950, and a Jaeger leCoultre ‘Atmos’ clock for a cool £400.
There’s never been a better time to sell at McTear’s.
The next Clocks, Scientific & Musical Instruments auction takes place on 13 August 2021. Entries are invited. For a complimentary, no-obligation valuation, visit our Glasgow Galleries or contact a specialist by clicking this link and completing the short form.
