Shot by a previous generation of the vendor's family in Ross-shire, late Victorian or Edwardian, likely prepared by taxidermist W. A. Macleay of Invernessbut there isno label or record to confirm this.
Condition is good, some thinning around right eye, some ruffling and small losses of feathers including to the back and tail, some other general light wear but overall a handsome and well presented specimen; case is likely original albeit worn with scuffs and scrapes to frame throughout.
