COMPLETE SET OF NINE SILVER PLATED GERMAN WWII RESERVE INFANTRY REGIMENT LICQOUR GLASSES each cup marked by maker Florat, measuring approximately 4.5cm high all cups are engraved with Inf. Ers. Rgt. 19 (Infanterie Ersatz Regiment) 19th Reserve Infantry Regiment, above the dates 1939 - 1941, pictogram and then an engraved title of a unit within the regiment, each cup is engraved with a different unit, representing all the units in the 19th Regiment and attached Batallion 588; 1,/2,/3,/4, Inf. Ers. Batl. 588 (Infanterie Erstaz Bataillon) Reserve Infantry Battalion 588 (four cups); Inf. Pzj. Ers. Kp. 19 (Infanterie Panzerjager Reserve Kompanie) 19th Reserve Infantry Anti-tank Company; Inf. Nachr. Ers. Kp. 19 (Infanterie Nachrichten Erstaz Kompanie) 19th Reserve Infantry Intelligence Company; f. Inf. Reiterzuge 19 ([possibly] folgende Infanterie Reiterzug) 19th Following/Reserve Infantry Rider Trains; I.G.Ers. Kp 19 ([possibly] Infanteriegerate/Infanteriegeschutz Erstaz Kopanie) 19th Reserve Infantry Equipment/Howitzer Company; Stab. Inf. Ers. Batl 588 (Stab Infanterie Erstaz Bataillon 588) Staff of the Reserve Infantry Battallion 588 Note: The Infantry Replacement Regiment 19 operated in Hannover, Military District XI ,from 1939. The regiment consisted of the staff for the replacement battalions of the 19th Infantry Division. It is stated that the regiment was made up of regimental staff, a news company, an IG company, an anti-tank company and a reserve company of infantry rider trains. The battallion linked to this regiment was Batallion 588 which was made up of four companies. From this information, taken from the online germany encyclopedia of armed forces during world war II (lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de), it can be assumed that this is a complete set of drinking cups made to commemerate all units within the regiment and batalion during 1939 - 1941.
