believed a League of Ireland XI shirt, Bukta MADE IN ENGLAND and Atheltic Stores Belfast labels, embroidered crest, long-sleeve
size 38
Note: This shirt was gained as a swap by Willie Woodburn. Whilst Woodburn faced the Northern Ireland team on four occasions, this shirt does not resemble theirs. Indeed, it appears to resemble that worn by the League of Ireland XI (a team selected from association teams in the Republic of Ireland). Woodburn represented the Scottish League XI on seven occasions between 1947 and 1951. The two teams competed in a regular fixture during the period and it is therefore believed that this shirt will relate to one of those games.
It does also resemble the shirt of the Republic of Ireland full international team, though Woodburn did not face them during his international career,
