* MATTHEW ALEXANDER (BRITISH b. 1953), A COLD MORNING, TWICKENHAM oil on board, signed 51cm x 76cm (20 x 30 inches) PROVENANCE With receipt of purchase (£5850) from Messum's Gallery, Cork St, Mayfair, London dated 28th March 2003 together with copy of Messum's Matthew Alexander 2003 Exhibition catalogue in which the picture is illustrated and the exhibition printed price list. Note: Matthew Alexander is a renowned and acclaimed British landscape artist. He is represented by Thompson's Gallery (London) and his most recent solo show was in March/April 2013. Matthew Alexander has exhibited at The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, The Royal Watercolour Society, The Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Royal Society of British Artist to which he was elected a member in 1985. His paintings are included in private and public collections throughout the world.
