Provenance: This buckler shield was brought back during the First World War by Dr. Alec Glen (author of ‘In the Front Line: A Doctor’s Life in War and Peace’), who served as a Medical Officer with the 40th Field Ambulance RAMC in Gallipoli , the Middle East and Mesopotamia.
