Note: Painter who was born in Edinburgh. Studied at the Royal Scottish Academy Schools under Charles Mackie and E A Walton. Exhibited RA, Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, RSA, RSW of which she was a member and in the Scottish and English provinces. President of the SSWA, 1930–42. Lived in Edinburgh. Pictures by Dixon, from the Fleming-Wyfold Art Foundation collection, were offered by Christie’s, South Kensington, in 2002.
