Note: Born Glasgow and trained at the Glasgow School of Art. He painted watercolours with great panache and style, usually working on the west coast of Scotland with fresh colours and simple but highly effective composition. He also taught at several Glasgow institutions. He exhibited at the RSW, RGI and at the RSA from where records show his address in 1925 as 36 Arundel Drive, Langside Glasgow and then from 1937 - 1958 at "Kiloran" Strathblane Road, Milngavie.
