Note: Painter, born in Glasgow where he studied at the School of Art, then in Paris at Atelier Colarossi and Académie Julian. Allan was a member of Glasgow Art Club and showed extensively with Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and RSA. Glasgow and Paisley Corporations bought examples. Lived in Stirling. Fourteen of his paintings are held in UK public collections.
