BELIEVED EDO PERIOD (1603-1868) OR EARLIER

with (likely shortened) curved steel blade, over copper mounts, pierced bronze oval tsuba cast with foliage, cloth bound fish skin grip with gilt bronze mounts, in black roiro lacquer saya

blade 59.5cm long, katana 88cm long overall,  saya 80cm long

Condition Report
We have been able to remove the blade and images of the signature are uploaded. The blade shows some nibbles to the edge. Blade length 70.5cm from tip to end of tang. Various condition issues across the sword including the tsuba, the grip and handle, and the scabbard. Additional images are uploaded.
