RUN OF DIXON HAWKE LIBRARY STORIES fifty-eight issues dating from 1939 to the last published issue of the Library series in 1941, issues include numbers 512-550 - the complete run of 1940 comics, along with issues 509, 551-559, 563-568, 570, 571, and 576. Note: Issue 576, 27th December 1941, was the last of the fortnightly published issues due to national paper shortages. Dixon Hawke Library stories ran from 1919 to 1941 and were contributed to by a number of writers but were all published anonymously. Some authors known to have contributed include Richard Goyne, John G. Brandon, Rex Hardinge, H.H. Clifford Gibbons, T.C.H. Jacobs, John Creasey, F. Addington Symonds, Reginald G. Thomas, Frank Howe, D. M. Cumming-Skinner, and W. W. Sayer. Dixon Hawke's detective/adventure stories were subsequently published as 'Case Books' and in 'Adventure' and others until 2000.
