LARGE QAJAR POTTERY CIRCULAR TILE,
second half of the 19th century, decorated in polychrome enamels on a cobalt ground with musicians and dancers at the court of Nasser al-Din Shah Qajar (1831-96) within border of scrolled vines, 52.3cm diameter

13cm vertical crack upper right with a 9cm hairline spreading from this and further smaller; chips to rim at 9 and 11 o'clock with further chips to side all around as well as a crack at 6; numerous glaze chips and impacts; tile crazed all over and majority of crazing lines can be felt with the edge of a fingernail; further glaze bubbles and scratches as well as some underglaze staining and visible inclusions; 16cm hairline visible to reverse as well as further chips to the reverse; additional images illustrating above issues available
