COLLECTION OF BAGPIPE PARTS
LATE 19TH / EARLY 20TH CENTURY

including a partial set (with degraded mouthpiece and leather bag), and further chanters and mouthpieces, in turned hardwood (some likely cocuswood), one section containing ivory, other sections with engraved white metal mounts, including two chanters stamped for P. Henderson of Glasgow, one for Robert Reid of Glasgow, and one David Glen & Sons of Edinburgh, contained in an oak case with C.W.D.

This lot contains elephant ivory material. Several countries, including in the EU and USA, prohibit the importation of ivory items unless under specific conditions. Prospective buyers should familiarise themselves with the relevant customs regulations of their country and ensure they are able to import this item prior to bidding.

Ivory Act 2018 (2022) compliant with APHA registration reference 528888HF.
