maker Thomas Robins, London 1807, with cast foliate rims and twin lion mask and ring handles, the foliate scroll pierced galleries featuring oval vignettes depicting figures in country settings in relief, the lower sections gadrooned and both raised on substantial cast paw feet with chased detail to knees, the gilt washed interiors housing later associated clear glass liners, 17.8cm long, gross approx 785g (2)

These dishes do not come with covers; both with slight wobble when on an even surface, that numbered 2 more so than the other; no. 2 does have a dented area to one side where there is a visible compression and a visible crimped or creased line; otherwise some slight misshaping and compressions to the rims, some further slight general surface impacts, nicks and scratches all commensurate with age and use, additional images available; decoration appears original, pierced work intact with no visible breaks
