* TONY FORREST (BRITISH), SPINNAKERS oil on canvas, signed Framed 51cm x 61cm Note: Tony Forrest is one of the world's best known living wildlife artists. ''I have been painting wildlife for the past 30 years but, living in Cornwall I have been inspired by artists down here and have, from time to time, painted other subjects. I am very inspired by the work of Ken Howard and others who are more interested in light and atmosphere than anything else. Tony Forrest's paintings have been widely exhibited around the world and are sold in the UK through the network of Whitewall Galleries. The typical gallery price of this painting would be approximately £5,000. Very few Tony Forrest paintings have appeared at public auction but a 76 x 101cm oil sold at Christie's 15.10.1998 lot 163 for £3600 (hammer) and two of his paintings sold in our last SCA Auction for £2800 & £2600
