Condition Report
Condition generally good to fair. Discolouration present throughout, in keeping with age. The framed panel has some vertical and horizontal pulled threads, and a small spot of weakness in the fabric. One small moth hole. The frame has a few chips to the edges. Curtain tie back: 205cm long x 8.7cm wide. Spots of light foxing, some weakness to small spots at the edge, four small slits in the fabric at the top end. The lining has holes and damage to the fabric. Some signs of restoration: brown threads to the tie back and the black hanging embroidery, to support a few seams. Ends of the Asian vase embroidery (101cm long x 18cm wide) are loose and fraying, has two loose threads in the embroidery. Four frayed holes to the hanging embroidery (54cm x 50cm), some missing threads. Hooks have been sewn onto the back for hanging and trim/fringe has been added. Images available.
