KELDA STORM
LOST IN MUSIC

screenprint on card album cover, signed

31cm x 31cm

Lips are a recurring motif in Kelda Storm's practice. They are often shown to sexualise and sensualise the female form yet are also a symbol of speech and voice. Kelda's artwork is deliberately minimal yet uses bold neon colours that grab your attention. This hand-printed record sleeve is a unique piece. For this piece Kelda is previewing some new work which is exploring the theme of escapism. Lost in Music is taken from a song originally written by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rogers and performed by Sister Sledge. An adapted version was later performed by The Fall. This shows a contrast in music genre, yet the shared message that being lost in music is universal and can happen to us all. Everyone should put on a song they like, escape the mundane, and enjoy the ride. Instagram: keldastorm
