each of circular form, depicting a badge with lion rampant motif in the foreground, the background with curling scene, both district medals presented by the Royal Caledonian Curling Club, with inscriptions to the reverse, the first presented to Col., Buchanan, Dec. 7th 1875, the second won by Old Monkland from Lillybank, 11th December 1878
