Note: This wristwatch is one of 30 awarded to those who helped Rangers' to their historic 1972 European Cup Winners' Cup victory. McKinnon's role was of course bittersweet. Whilst having been a stalwart for the team for over ten years, a horrific leg break during the second round match of the competition vs. Sporting Lisbon effectively ended his career. This watch therefore represents both an important item of memorabilia awarded to those who helped Rangers achieve their only ever European trophy, but also as recognition to McKinnon, who had been so important to Rangers over the preceding years, though who's career was cruelly cut short during the competition.
