WILLIE MARTIN, COLLECTION OF GLASGOW SCHOOLS FOOTBALL MEDALS
1920s

comprising Gilmour Shield 1925, Queen's Park Sec School 3rd Div 1927/8, and 1st Div 1928/9, and the S.S.F.A. Intermediate Shield 1927/8, all inscribed, also a silver Special Schools Association silver brooch to Miss Margaret Martin 1963/5

Note: William Martin was a Scottish professional footballer who made over 170 appearances in the Scottish League for as a centre forward for Queen's Park and Clyde. In representative football, he was capped by Scotland Amateurs and the Scottish League XI.

He most famously scored two goals in Clyde's 4-0 1939 Scottish Cup victory over Motherwell. This was the first of three times Clyde won the trophy.
