A VICTORIAN SILVER FOUR-PIECE TEA SERVICE

VICTORIAN SILVER FOUR-PIECE TEA SERVICE,
maker John Finlay, Glasgow 1899, comprising teapot, hot water pot, sugar bowl and cream jug, each of baluster form, engraved initials 'MN' within a scrolling cartouche, further embossed with scrolls and foliage to one side, and with wrythen fluting to the other, on four scroll bracket feet, the hot water pot with presentation enscription to 'Rev. J.H. Horton McNeill....in hearty appreciation of his valued services. BUENOS AYRES JUNE 1897-MARCH 1900', 24cm high, approx 1890g gross

Condition Report
Tarnish present throughout the lot, including some possibly overcleaned spots, particularly to bodies of the tea and coffee pot. Ding to the base of the teapot. Teapot handle quite loose. Ding to the neck of the coffee pot.
