S.G. DYNAMO DRESDEN, UEFA CUP QUARTER-FINAL JERSEY
1975/76

embroidered crest, no. 6 verso, presented alongside a copy of Ray Kennedy's biography

Note: The above shirt was gained by Ray Kennedy as a swap after one of Liverpool's UEFA Cup quarter-final ties vs. Dresden. The first leg was contested on the 3rd March 1976 and ended 0-0, the second on the 17th March 1976 and ended 2-1 to Liverpool. Liverpool went on to win the trophy vs. Club Brugge. This was their second European trophy, and came during a period of dominance. Indeed, they went on to win two European Cups on the bounce after this UEFA Cup, and therefore this rare Dresden top comes as a relic from one of the clubs most historic periods. It was purchased at Christie's Sporting Auction on the 20th October 1993, and was noted as 'This jersey was gained by Kennedy as a swop after one of the legs of the Quarter-Final matches during the UEFA Cup campaign, season 1975-76.'
