CELTIC F.C., GOLD MEDAL
CIRCA 1935/36

the obverse with enamel Celtic harp motif, within Celtic cross cast with shamrocks in relief, the reverse uninscribed, in nine carat gold

Note: Whilst it is not known to whom this medal was awarded, the design closely follows that of others commissioned for Celtic during the period (i.e. see lot 1906 - Jim Murphy's Alliance League medal), which has pointed to this attribution. It is hallmarked for 1935, hence the dating.
