Glasgow’s Port Dundas distillery was a landmark, dominating the north Glasgow skyline, even though not many people actually knew what it was. It was built in 1811 at the highest point in the city next to the banks of the Forth & Clyde Canal. Due to it's prime lcation it grew to be the largest distillery in Scotland. Sadly in 2010, owner Diageo decided to close the distillery and focus on the Cameronbridge site.
