Note: William Peters Vannet was born in Carnoustie, Angus. He was a painter, printmaker and teacher. He studied at Dundee College of Art where his teachers included James McIntosh Patrick. There are clear signs of McIntosh Patrick's influence in this work along with James Reville, who was part of the same Dundee Group. Exhibited widely including at the RSW, RGI and seventy six artworks at the Royal Scottish Academy between 1939 and 1984. Arbroath harbour was a favoured subject.
