the fluted oblong case with central gilt and enamel cipher for King George V, the hined cover opening to reveal a gilt wash interior with date inscription for 1933, with further hinged compartment to top, the side with aperture for cloth rope suspension, housed in original fitted gilt tooled blue Morocco case also with cipher, presented alongside two newspaper clippings detailing his life and funeral, also an address prepared for his funeral delivered by Lord Louis Mountbatten
Note: 'Sir Morton Warrack Smart, GCVO, DSO (1877–1956) was a Scottish manipulative surgeon who served George V, Edward VIII, George VI and Elizabeth II.' This piece was gifted to Sir Morton Smart by King George V.
