EXTENSIVE EARLY 20TH CENTURY SILVER PLATED CANTEEN almost all maker Maxfield & Sons (Silversmiths) Ltd of Sheffield, circa 1905-1925, comprising eighteen fish knives and forks, eighteen ice spoons, eighteen oyster spoons, thirty-six table forks, thirty-six dessert forks, twenty-seven table spoons, eighteen dessert spoons, two butter knives, two jelly spoons, two pairs of nut crackers, a pair of grape scissors, six salt cellars (one lacking liner), six mustard pots, six pepperettes, two muffineers, two sauce boats, a pair of fish carvers, a soup spoon (missing the eighteen teaspoons and tongs), all engraved with initial 'D', twelve fruit knives and forks, a pair of fruit serving knives and forks, twenty-four table knives and twenty-five dessert knives, four knife rests, four toast racks, soup ladle 32cm long; together with twelve modern matching soup spoons, table knives and dessert spoons, contained in an oak canteen cabinet with double doors and six drawers, bottom drawer with plaque 'R.Stewart, Silversmith To The Late Queen Victoria', 66 cm wide, 54cm high
