FINE LATE 18TH CENTURY RUSSIAN GOLD JADE CASKET of serpentine rectangular form, the hinged cover incorporating a panel painted with a scene of Cossacks slaughtering aristocracy, the clasp set with a central foil backed garnet, pear shaped rose cut diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and seed pearls, the jade panels embellished with diamond, ruby, lapis lazuli, opal and pearl floral sprays, the mounts test as 18 carat gold, 4.5cm high, 10.5cm wide, 7.5cm deep
