Julian Opie lives and works in London, UK, and works in varied media: painting, drawing, sculpture, and film. He is best known for his simple graphic portraits and animated walking figures in black line drawing with minimal added detailing. Opie studied at Goldsmiths School of Art and has exhibited in both solo and group shows worldwide. His artwork is held in numerous collections, including, but not limited to, the Tate, British Museum, Victoria and Albert, National Portrait Gallery in London, and The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
