Inscribed on label verso in the artist's hand, in both Latin and English:"On Arno's beautiful river, in the great city I was born and grew, and I am with the body that I always had". (Dante: Inferno). Further signed, titled and dated 21st June 1995 on same label verso.
Note: A very fine and large example of the work of the much missed Alan King, a frequent contributor and a great favourite in The Scottish Contemporary Art Auctions.
