Condition Report

Farm Insects: disintegration to the calf, wear to the boards; slight browning to page and plate edges, some spotting in places; Butterflies: similar but less pronounced wear to boards, less browning to page and plate edges but more common foxing; additional images available

Butterflies -
All 71 plates present, binding secure, as previously stated there is relatively minor foxing to the plates, usually just some spots with light browning to tops of the plates but some do display more concentrated foxing, general scuffs and wear to covers and spine as stated.
Insects -
All plates are present, the plates with browning to page edges but are protected by internal sheets so display some small spots but little foxing and certainly less than the other volume; binding again secure, no loose leaves, more pronounced wear to covers with loss of the calf to lower third of the spine, further surface losses of the calf, wear and deterioration to the marbling
