For a distillery capable of churning out over ten million litres of spirit in a single year, you might expect the highland distillery of Teaninich to be more of a household name than it actually is. The reason for its borderline anonymity is simply because most of the distillery’s output is earmarked for (parent company) Diageo’s various blends. Official single malt releases are limited to a 12 Year Old that forms part of the Flora & Fauna range, and the occasional limited edition. Even independent bottlings are thin on the ground, so they’re worth snapping up wherever you find them.
