Many thanks for your inquiry regarding lot 534 and 752, both pieces by Peter Howson. The condition on both pictures is very good overall, with no visible signs of restoration, damage, or known issues.
We reached out to Peter Howson's studio, and they have confirmed the authenticity of both pictures. Lot 534 was most likely completed as a rough study piece for another canvas, according to the studio, and although they do not have an exact date for the work, they are guessing 1999-2001. Lot 752 was a consignment of work completed for an exhibition during August 2011 for the Eduardo Alessandro Studios Gallery, Dundee.
