The current vendor reports that this was originally owned by his grandfather, Harry McIlvenny (1876 - 1934) who played for Celtic FC and is the only player to have signed for the club three times.
His three stints were in September 1895, November 1896 and October 1904. In between, he played for a number of well known teams including Burnley, Belfast Celtic, Hamilton Accies (twice), St Bernard’s, Partick Thistle and Ayr.
