LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY CHINESE IVORY CARVING OF CAO GUOJIU,
of unusually massive proportions, the deity of acting and theatre modelled in official robes and holding a paiban (clapper), carved central detail depicting a curled dragon, the figure 65.5cm high, on a later polished wood oval base, 69cm high

Condition Report
No restoration, though there are a number of cracks evident (noticeably to the back), also surface wear including minor nicks and scratches. Plenty of additional images now illustrate this.
