HIGHLAND TARGE IN 18TH CENTURY STYLE the deer hide covered in thick brown leather with central boss which sits in relief on a four armed star, each arm of the star shows tooled interlace, between the arms of the star are two pairs of roundels each separated by two tooled triquetras, two of these roundels have complex, and two have quite simple interlace, the deer hide, now virtually bald, has a leather arm brace and hand grip, with original spike, 52.5cm diameter
