SIGNED LETTER WRITTEN BY BERNARD LAW MONTGOMERY, 1st VISCOUNT MONTGOMERY OF ALAMEIN (1887 - 1976) addressed from Isington Mill, Alton, Hampshire and dated 24-7-60, written in black in 'My dear Alam, I like Chaper 14 very much. I have added a certain amount about the 3 chief personalities, and this makes the chapter rather long. Incidentally it arrived with the envelope in tatters; I am glad I shall receive no more by post! As Chapter 14 is rather long, please keep Chapter 15: Chinese and Japanese and Chapter 16 India and Chapter 17: War and the Industrial Revolution short. Because 18, 19, 20 and 21 will be pretty long - especially 20 and 21.
