Lot 953

KENNY DALGLISH'S 1978 SCOTLAND WORLD CUP JERSEY, a white 'away' jersey assigned to Daglish, not match worn. This No 8 squad jersey from Scotland's ill-fated 1978 World Cup campaign in Argentina is being offered for sale with all proceeds going to a Motor Neurone charity. The white jersey, which was earmarked for Kenny Dalglish to wear in a later play-off game, was unfortunately confined to the kit bag following Scotland's group stage exit from the tournament on goal difference. The lot also includes a hand written note of authenticity from Gordon McQueen, Dalglish's Scotland team mate at the time. McQueen is a regular in the Kings Head pub in Hutton Rudby in North Yorkshire and gifted the jersey to the landlady who has consigned this to be auctioned.

A condition report is offered as an indication of any issues visible to the naked eye.
