Magda Ketterer
Valuations Director
Magda was born in Glasgow and went to Fernhill School in Rutherglen. She studied for a degree in History of Art at Glasgow University and went on to complete a Master`s in The History of Collecting and Collections. While at university, Magda joined the Fencing Club, where she met her husband, Colin, and they now have a daughter. Magda joined McTear's in 2004 and has a passion for the auction world. She particularly enjoys auctioneering and her specialism of East Asian artworks. Her role as Valuations Director encompasses estate and insurance as well as auction valuations in all categories of art and antiques. Magda’s hobbies include enjoying family trips, socialising with friends and fitness training.
