A Diamond as Big as the Ritz

Even F. Scot Fitzgerald couldn’t fail to be impressed by the top lot in the Autumn Elegance jewellery sale.

The stunning 5.02 carat round brilliant cut diamond ring is a wonder to behold, with the certified centrepiece stone displaying L colour and SI2 clarity. Watch the autumn light sparkle in the pristine gem and it is clear to see why this lot has an estimate of £18,000 to £20,000.

Diamonds are left, right and centre in this auction, with no less than three diamond tennis bracelets and a host of solitaire rings and stud earrings showcased amongst the 162 lots. Estimates range from £200 to £400 for diamond studs to £8,000 for an exquisite 5.71 carat bracelet.

Some auction colour comes in the form of a collection of stunning ruby, sapphire and emerald rings, many with a halo of diamonds. A deep red 3.42 carat ruby and diamond ring has an estimate of £6,000 to £8,000, while a pear shaped 3.64 carat sapphire and diamond pear shaped ring could be yours for £5,500.

Add into the mix a sprinkling of gold rings, chains and bracelets, and you have a jewellery auction that is set to bring a ray of sparkling light to the dark autumn nights.

The Autumn Elegance: Jewellery for Every Season auction will take place on Friday 14 October.
