Bold blues

With days becoming lighter and for longer, now is the time to add some colour to your jewellery box. Why not mix up the everyday a little and add a few more vibrant pieces of jewellery to your collection, and your outfits. In McTear's upcoming Jewellery Auction on 8 April, there are items in all the colours of the rainbow. Let's take a look at some of the blue pieces.

Lot 24 is a blue enamel pendant set with a central round brilliant cut diamond. This item combines two desirable and fashionable elements – the Edwardian era of design and the art of enamelling. Lot 161 is a ring set with a slice of the royal blue coloured hardstone lapis lazuli.

Lot 182 features turquoise, this pale blue stone has become increasingly popular again in many modern jewellers' collections in the past six months.

Blue is associated with calmness so why not relax with a tea or coffee in our café ahead of the jewellery auction at 1pm on Sunday 8 April.
