Cold Painted Bronzes

Cold painted bronze figures can be seen in many forms, but miniature animals are certainly one of the most popular themes, and undoubtedly one of the most charming.  Two delightful lots featuring cold painted bronze animal figures will go under the hammer this month at The Works of Art, Medals, Militaria & Furniture Auction at McTear’s.

Lot 859 features two cold painted bronze figures of a cat and a fox, dating from the early 20th century. This playful pair are modelled running or pouncing, so appearing mid chase. This dashing little duo comes with an auction estimate of £80- 120.

Lot 858 in The Works of Art, Medals, Militaria & Furniture Auction this March is a cold painted bronze figure of an upland wader. This is estimated at £70- 100.
