McTear’s holds Jewellery Auctions every three weeks. No matter the time of year, excellent results abound. The Jewellery Auction on 30 January was no exception, with several diamond jewels stealing the show.

Lot 4, a pair of diamond earrings set with a single white and yellow diamond to each flew past estimate after competition from telephone bidders and online. Selling to a bidder on the phone for £3400 including fees, this lot was closely followed by three other diamond items.

A classic diamond three stone ring at lot 5 achieved £2500 while lot 2, a diamond solitaire ring surpassed its £800-1200 estimate, with the hammer falling at £1800.
