Jaeger LeCoultre strong seller at Glasgow Auction!

There were some very impressive hammer prices in The Clocks, Scientific & Musical Instruments Auction this December, with a number of lots sailing well above estimate.

Lot 733 (a painted, weight driven cuckoo clock) received competitive bidding, eventually selling for an eye-catching hammer price of £600. There was excellent bidding in the room and online with a busy week of viewing translating into sales.

Jaeger’s classic “Atmos” clock continued to be a hit with bidders with lots 718 and 781 both selling on estimate for £500 and £550 respectively.

One of the stars of our view was lot 725 (a Victorian stereoscope viewer) being much-admired in the weeks leading up to the auction, with the lot finally selling above estimate for £720.

The auction goes from strength to strength so McTear's hope to welcome you to The Clocks, Scientific & Musical Instruments Sale on January 12th. To consign to this, or any of our future auctions, please contact auction@mctears.co.uk or telephone 0141 810 2880.
