Macallan’s Naked Attraction

One of the more modern Macallan’s in the July 5 Rare and Fine whisky auction which has a meteoric rise in value over the past couple of years is the Macallan Masters of Photography, Rankin edition.

World renowned fashion photographer Rankin spent some time at the Macallan estate. During his residency there he took one thousand Polaroid pictures in and around the distillery with many featuring his muse Tuuli, some in fairly risqué and compromising positions. The bottle and label in lot 133 is a more child friendly image of her bare feet and calves hanging over an edge with some distilling equipment just in shot in the background.

This is a limited edition of 1000 bottles, each with a unique label featuring one of the pictures taken by Rankin, and is estimated to sell for £5,000-£6,000. Included in the box is the original picture with a certificate of authentication. The whisky is a Macallan Fine Oak 30 years old, which is highly desirable spirit in itself.
